The Colossal Squid
In 2012 I made my first foray into the world of large-scale puppetry. Here is a collection of photos and videos of the Giant Squid, which I originally created for a small Idaho art and music festival called Esthetic Evolution. I've always been fascintated by the mysterious and elusive colossal squid. I started sketching designs for the squid in January of 2012, and had a working version ready by Esthetic Evolution at the end of June.

This is the Giant Squid attacking a major dance venue at Burning Man called the Opulent Temple. The lasers interacted with the fabric in unexpected and beautiful ways.

I made commemorative necklaces out of gold-mirrored acrylic and handed them out to people who had a memorable experience with the squid.
